Programmer - Robotics Engineer - Agile Enthousiast
I am a programmer and robotics engineer, interested in the agile way of working. I like to work on artificial intelligence applications and CI/CD systems to automating the boring stuff. I want to work on systems to supercharge human capabilities.
I have experience working with c, c++, c#, python and matlab for software development and css and html for web development. I usually build software for autonomous systems, but I have done some work as a general software engineer at Dimenco.
During my studies as a Mechanical Engineer at the Eindhoven University of Technology I have specialized in Robotics research. I am currently performing my master thesis research on applying reinforcement learning to learn robots how to cooperate, in this case to play a game of soccer. Check out the Tech United Soccer Robots to get an idea of the context of this challenge!
Personally I am a big fan of the agile approach to development and project planning. I applied Agile concepts extensively during my time founding and building student artificial intelligence association Serpentine together with my cofounders and friends. I have been resposible for the technical projects at Serpentine during the first two years of its life as Technical Lead.
In February of 2020 Serpentine became an official student team at the Eindhoven University of Technology and is from that point onwards officialy backed by the university.
After dreaming about the concept for some months, Serpentine took shape in the form of the core team of four members and we started our first projects. From there Serpentine would become an official association in April 2019. I join the board and take on the role of Technical Lead.
After finishing my Bachelor's degree with a successfull Bachelor thesis at Tech United I started on my Master's Degree. I was part of the Control Systems Technology group, specifically the robotics lab.
I became a developer at the university robot soccer team Tech United. I was active mainly as software developer and went on to join the team fulltime for a year during my Master's degree, during which we won the robot soccer world cup in Montreal.
I started my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands!
